CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICER BONUS PLAN
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia has implemented an incentive pay
program for Treasurers based on the achievement of specific criteria in the areas of education
and job performance as specified in the Treasurer Career Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth may later implement a similar program for other
Constitutional Officers; and
WHEREAS, education and job performance are a direct benefit to the citizens of the
City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Compensation Board, will
directly reimburse the City of Fairfax for the incentive pay;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that any such Constitutional
Officer of the City of Fairfax who meets the requirements of such incentive pay plan enacted
by the Commonwealth of Virginia shall be awarded the incentive pay amount reimbursed by
the Compensation Board to the City of Fairfax; and
BE IT FURTER RESOLVED, that the incentive pay will be paid to such
Constitutional Officer on an annual basis at the end of each fiscal year; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the payment will be administered through the
City of Fairfax payroll system as an incentive award would be administered.
