INTERIM USE POLICY FOR BLENHEIM
WHEREAS, over the last decade, city historic facilities have been expanded and
rehabilitated; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reaffirmed its intention of preserving and restoring
the 12-acre Blenheim Estate for historic and public uses; and
WHEREAS, the city is currently in the process of stabilizing and restoring the
Blenheim house and outbuildings; and
WHEREAS, the immediate desire is for an Interim Use Policy for the Blenheim
grounds so that the Blenheim grounds may be rented for use prior to completion of house and
outbuilding restoration and implementation of a master plan for the Blenheim site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Blenheim Interim Use Policy
establishes policy and guidelines for rental use of the Blenheim grounds, subject to the
conditions of the said policy;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that administration of the policy will be directed by
the city Office of Historic Resources.
