RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE CENTREVILLE LODGE 2168,
INC., LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE, INC., FOR A SPECIAL
EXCEPTION TO CHAPTER 26 OF THE CITY CODE ON THE
PREMISES KNOWN AS 3529 CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP PARCEL 47-4-((2))-3A.
WHEREAS, Centreville Lodge 2168, Inc., Loyal Order Of Moose, Inc.,
has submitted Application No. SE-240-99-1 requesting a Special Exception to the
City Code section listed below:
Section 26-39.4(b)(2)(g) - to allow reduction of the required
number of parking spaces.
WHEREAS, City Council has carefully considered the application, the
recommendation of the staff and testimony received at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special
Exception is appropriate because the proposal meets the requisites, as required by
City of Fairfax Code Section 26-39.7:
The proposal is consistent with the recommendations of the
Comprehensive Plan and the Community Appearance Plan:
2. The proposal will not result in inadequate on-site amenity;
3. The proposal will not have a negative effect on nearby properties;

The proposal will not result in increased traffic congestion or
otherwise negatively impact existing traffic flow or pedestrian and
vehicular safety; and
WHEREAS, City Council established conditions with the concurrent
Special Use Permit Application No. SUP-1426-99-1;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax on this 14th day of March, 2000, that Application No. SE-240-99-1 be
and hereby is APPROVED:
