RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT A LOCAL PLAN
WHEREAS, The Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act, enacted in July
1995, mandated the development of a local plan to provide comprehensive services to youth
and their families; and
WHEREAS, Fairfax County has in place a comprehensive delivery of services to
youth and their families through the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court that are currently
contractually provided to residents of the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fairfax intends to participate in and receive services for its
youth and their families through the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax City Council approves the
local plan for administration of the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act
submitted by Fairfax County, and agrees to participate in the execution of its plan.
