LOCATED IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF THE CITY'S BOUNDARY.
WHEREAS, FCRHA proposes development of Morarity Place, an
assisted housing project of up to 70 two and three-bedroom units
on property located immediately south of the City's boundary;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed development would be contrary to the

appropriate use for the proposed location; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that the Morarity Place site is
in a uniquely strategic location between George Mason University

contribute to the City's objectives of strengthening the land
use relationship between the City and the University; and
WHEREAS, the development of the property presents the City,
Fairfax County and the University with an opportunity to
cooperate in supporting a mutually beneficial project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
express to Fairfax County its opposition to the FCRHA proposed
