A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF CARTERET SAVINGS BANK

FROM SPECIFIED PROVISION OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE
CIT ir OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, FOR PROPERT ir LOCATED AT 10501 MAIN
STREET AND MORE PARTICULARL¥ DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP 57-4-((2))-76.
WHEREAS, Carteret Savings Bank has submitted application No. SE-44-88-2
requesting the special exception to the City Code section listed below:
Section 26-178(c)(3) to allow construction of a canopy over the drive-in lane that
will encroach 12 feet into the required 25-foot rear yard.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed special exception is
appropriate because the proposed development meets the requisites established by
City of Fairfax Code Section 26-178(f)(2) for the following reasons:
Will not result in development which is disproportionate to surrounding
land uses;
2. Will not adversely affect any nearby residential areas;
Will not overburden the community facilities existing or available or result
in the obstruction of light and air, danger and congestion in transportation,
or increased danger from fire, flood or other hazards.
4. Will not be contrary to the objectives of the Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, on this 2?th day of September ,1988, that the application No.
SE-44-88-2 be and hereby is approved.
