WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, may receive and accept from any
source money and property under Section 2.5 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, presently holds title to the real
property known as Old Town Hall located at the intersection of Main Street and
University Drive within the City of Fairfax;
WHEREAS, the Trustees of Old Town Hall, who now hold in trust some of the
personal property located in Old Town Hall and approximately $12,028.18, wish to
transfer such property to the City of Fairfax;
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to accept such property and money;
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax recognizes and agrees that it shall be under a
duty to use the assets of the trust for the purpose of the trust; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is capable and willing to accomplish the purpose
of the trust;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA:
1. The City of Fairfax, Virginia, hereby agrees to receive and accept from the
trustees of Old Town Hall such personal property located with Old Town Hall and
approximately $12,028.18 which is held by such Trustees; and
2. The City of Fairfax, Virginia, hereby agrees that it shall be under a duty to
use the personal property and approximately $12,028.18 for the purpose of the trust
and that the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is capable and willing to accomplish the pur-
pose of the trust.
