A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF PENELOPE L. DAUGHTRY, PROJECT MANAG
FOR THE MOSBY APARTMENT ASSOCIATES, FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION FROM SPECIFIED
PROVISION OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 10560 MAIN STREET AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP
57-2-((2))-156.
WHEREAS, Penelope Daughtry has submitted Application No. SE-26-87-1
requesting a Special Exception to the City Code, as listed below:
Section 26-43(a)(3): To permit a free-standing sign to be
located 2 feet from the public right-of-way where 20 feet
is required.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Excep-
tion is appropriate because the proposed development meets the requisites
established by Fairfax City Code Section 26-48(b) for the following reasons:
Section 26-48(b):
Strict application of the Sign Ordinance will
present a unique burden due to unusual topo-
graphy and vegetation; and
e
The proposed Special Exception is consistent
with the Comprehensive Plan and the purpose
of the Sign Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, on this 24th day of November , 1987, that Application
No. SE-26-87-1 be and hereby is ~'PPROVED.
