RESOLUTION NO.
CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION OF JANUARY 18, 1975
WHEREAS, the people of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, are celebrating this day in honor of Najor Murray
Kutner who retired on January 3, 1975, after completing ten
years as Chief of Police for the City of Fairfax, Virginia;
and,
WHEREAS, ~ajor ~urray Kutner has unselfishly and
successfully devoted his time and energy toward making
Fairfax City a "Good Place to Live"; and,
WHEREAS, the people of this Community appreciate
~urray Kutner's many contributions and spirit o£ dedication;
and,
WHEREAS, the ~ayor and City Council believe that
a permanent, living memorial should be created to honor
Chief ~urray Kutner of the Fairfax City Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the parcel of land owned by the
City which is located adjacent to Fairchester Subdivision,
and heretofore referred to as the ~cFarland tract, shall be,
and hereby is, named ~URRAY KUTNER PARK.
Unanimously adopted by the City Council of Fair£ax
this 18th day of January, 1975.
