BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA AS
FOLLOWS:
The Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Highways, is hereby requested
to undertake the following projects:
1) Signalization improvements by interconnection of two new signals
in the vicinity of Fairfax Circle, at Old Lee Highway and at Pickett
Road, with the existing signals at Fairfax Circle for better control
of traffic flow by synchronization of all traffic lights.
2) Signalization improvements by interconnection of traffic signals
on Main Street at Woodland Drive and Maple Street, and on Lee Highway
at Fairchester Drive, with signal system at the intersection of
Routes 236, 29-211 and 50 for better control of traffic flow by syn-
chronization of all traffic lights.
3) Signalization improvements by interconnection of traffic signals
on Route 29-211 at University Drive and at the entrance to the old
Fairfax High School, and on Route 123 at Norman Avenue, with the sig-
nal system at the intersection of Routes 123 and 29-211 for better
control of traffic flow by synchronization of all traffic lights.
