19730904 r-73-17 RESOLUTION R-73-17 WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, plans to improve its transportation system by constructing certain new streets; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the said City to acquire certain rights of way for such purposes; and WHEREAS, it appears that it will be necessary for the City to exercise its right of eminent domain in order to acquire certain of the said rights of way; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA: 1. The City of Fairfax, Virginia, declares the necessity for acquisition of rights of way across a certain parcel of land in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, hereinafter listed, for the improvement of its transportation system, 2. The City of Fairfax, Virginia, declares the necessity for the exercise of its powers of condemnation to acquire said right of way; 3. The City of Fairfax, Virginia, authorizes its City Attorney to proceed to acquire said right of way by appropriate legal means and to file and pursue condemnation actions to this end; and 4. The said right of way which is the subject of this resolution is the following: A right of way shown on the attached plat across a certain parcel owned by First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Arlington, said property having been acquired by Deed Book 3478 at Page 113 and Deed Book 3560 at Page 409 among the land records of Fairfax County, Virginia.
