A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA CITY COUNCIL
OF ENDORSEMENT OF THE CITY'S FY 29/30 REVENUE SHARING APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, The City of Fairfax is submitting applications for FY 29/30 Revenue Sharing
funds for the following three projects:
• Ist/2na Street Sidewalks
• Dwight Ave Pedestrian Improvements
• Northfax East-West Roadway
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax City Council desires to submit applications for an allocation of
funds up to $1 OM to be matched through the Virginia Department of Transportation Fiscal Year
2029/2030 Revenue Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Fairfax City Council hereby supports these applications for an
allocation of funds up to $10M to be matched through the Virginia Department of
Transportation Revenue Sharing Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT The City of Fairfax City Council hereby
agrees to commit to their share of the total cost for preliminary engineering, right-of-way and
construction of the project(s) in accordance with the project financial documents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council hereby grants authority for City
Manager to execute all agreements and/or addendums for any approved projects within the
Virginia Department of Transportation.
