AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND READOPTING CHAPTER 102, ARTICLE II,
SECTION 102-31(b) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO
INCREASE THE RATES FOR WASTEWATER SERVICE FURNISHED BY THE
CITY BY 6.0 PERCENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 102,
Article II, Section 102-31(b), of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia is amended to read
in its entirety as follows:
Sec. 102-31.
(b) The rate for wastewater service furnished by the city shall be as follows:
(1)Residential consumers. For the first 5,000 gallons or less per quarter
$64.48 $68.35 and per 1,000 gallons for all water in excess of 5,000 gallons
$12.33 $13.07.
(2) Commercial consumers. For the first 5,000 gallons or less per month
$75.87 $80.42 and per 1,000 gallons for all water in excess of 5,000 gallons
$13.33 $13.07.
(3)Apartment Buildings. Apartment buildings will be billed at a minimum
wastewater rate of

This ordinance shall become effective July 1, 2025.
