Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter Into a Funding Agreement with
Fairfax County to construct CUE Bus Stop Improvements
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax was awarded a grant from the I-66 Commuter Choice
Program to improve access and amenities at CUE bus stops and better serve
transit commuters in the I-66 corridor; and
WHEREAS, the CUE Bus Access and Technology Improvement Study recommended
improvements at several CUE bus stops including three stops located in Fairfax
County; and
WHEREAS, the City and County have evaluated the proposed designs for the CUE bus stops
located in the county and determined that it would be efficient to have the
County administer the construction of the bus stop improvements on behalf of
the City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Funding Agreement
with Fairfax County to construct improvements to CUE bus stops located in
Fairfax County, provided that the final form of such Funding Agreement is
acceptable to the City Attorney.
