AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council having determined
that an alley hereinafter described should be vacated; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, on petition of E. S. Waring,
having ordered the posting of notices as required by Section 15. 1-364 of
the Code of Virginia; and,
WHEREAS, by resolution of the City Council viewers were
appointed to investigate and report to the City Council whether or not and
to what extent, if any, there will be inconvenience to the public or ad-
joining property owners by the vacation of such alley; and,
WHEREAS, such notices as required by law have been
posted and the viewers appointed by the City Council have reported that
it is in the public interest that such alley be vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX THAT:
1. The twelve-foot alley running through the property of
Dr. E. S. Waring described as follows:
125 feet south of Main Street and parallel thereto,
running from Poplar Street to Hallman Street
is ordered vacated and the land so vacated shall revert to ownership as
provided by law.
2. This ordinance shall become effective on � , 1965.
