CONCERNING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF

WHEREAS, the Little River Turnpike; in Fairfax County and the City of

WHEREAS, this highway is considered a vital primary
highways; and,
WHEREAS, a project is now underw y which will complete the four lane
construction of Route 50 from ee -to"t /
he toudoun-Fairfax County LFne; and,
WHEREAS, the only remaining two lane portion of Route 236 and Route 50
is from Route 237 to the westerly corporate limits of the City of Fairfax.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Fairfax hereby urgently requests the N hway Commission of the Commonwealth of
Virginia to authorize a project for the four lane construction of the said ioor-;oA? o ,14--
d-h the City Y of Fairfax ; and,
FURTHER RESOLVE that funds will be made available by the City of Fairfax
for participation with the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States Government
in the construction of this project; and,
FURTHER RESOLVE that copies of this resolution be sent to each member of
the Highway Commission of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
