A R.ESOLUTION APPR.OVING THE PAR.KING LOT LEASE AGR.EElVIENT
BETVVEEN THE CITY AND THE BUSINESS INVESTlVIENT GROUP, LLC, FOR
THE LEASE OF APPR.OXIlVIATELY 46 PARKING SPACES LOCATED AT THE
INTER.SECTION OF SAGER. AVENUE AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE.
'-'VI-IER..EAS., the City has determined that there cCH""1tinues to be a public need for
additional public parking in the Old TOVV"1l Fairfax area; and
'VVI-IEFt.EAS!!, The Business Investmen.t Group, LLC ("BIG-"), ovvns a parking lot
consisting or approximately 46 spaces located at the intersection of Sager Avenue and
University Drive, and BIG- desires to CCHTtinue leasing to the City". and the City desires to
continue leasing from BIG". the parking lot for the second often(lO) additional oue(l)-year
extensions, commen.cing on July 1".2008 through ~rune 30, 2009, provided that either party
may terminate the lease during any of the rencv.ral terms upon 6 months VV'ritten notice to the
other party prior to the expiration of the then-current: lease year.
NOVV, THER.EFOR.E, BE IT R.ESOLVED by the City Council of the City or
Fairfax that a Parking Lot Lease Extension betV\Teen the City and The Business Investment
Group, LLC, commencing on July I, 2008 through June 30, 2009 is hereby approved" and the
City M:anager is authorized to execute such extension on behalf of the City.
