20000411 2000-10ORDINANCE NO. ~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-2, 24-2.1, AND 24-2.2, ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 24 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, BY INCREASING WATER AND SEWER CONNECTION, AVAILABILITY, AND FRONTAGE CHARGES, AND INCREASING WATER SERVICE RATE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 24-2, Article I, Chapter 24 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia is amended to read in its entirety as follows: ;ec. 24-2. Water Service and Sewer Service - Service Rates. The consumer may request that the city perform the connection, and if the city agrees to perform the connection, the connection charges listed in this subsection (a) shall be increased by one hundred percent (100%). The city manager or his designee shall determine the type of premises and charges for all premises. When the Premises does not fall under any of the listed types, the city manager shall select the most appropriate type or types listed. Unless otherwise stated, the type of premises and units of measurement shall be as defined in Chapter 26 of this Code. "Occupancy unit" means any room or suite of rooms typically rented as a unit containing overnight sleeping accommodations which are separate from any other such room or suite of rooms within the same hotel, motel or rooming house.
