AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1990-11
GRANTING A LEASE TO USE A PORTION OF PROVIDENCE
PARK, TAX MAP NUMBER 57-3-01-007, CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY 26,000 SQUARE FEET IN THE CITY
OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that the third paragraph of Section 3 of Ordinance Number
1990-11 enacted by the City Council on April 24, 1990, be amended
to read as follows:
In the event that such approvals are not obtained
and construction on the Demised Premises does not
begin by June 1, 1993, then this Lease shall ter-
minate; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the remaining provisions of
Ordinance Number 1990-11 shall remain unchanged; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute the Lease between the City and the Fairfax
Police Youth Club in the form set forth in Ordinance Number 1990-
11 as amended by this Ordinance and that, before executing the
Lease, the Fairfax Police Youth Club shall execute and deliver to
the City Manager a bond in favor of the City in the amount of
$5,000.00 in accOrdance with Chapter 2, Article XI of the Code of
the City of Fairfax, conditional upon FPYC constructing, operating,
and maintaining the leased premises and structures to be con-
structed thereon.
This Ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
