AN ORDINANCE ADDING A SUBSECTION TO SECTION 13-70 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO ~AKETME OPERATION OF A VEHICLE
ALONGSIDE AND PAMALLEL TO ANOTHER VEHICLE IN A LANE DESIGNED FOR ONE
VEHICLE A SPECIFIC INSTANCE OF RECKLESS DRIVING.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia,
that the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be amended by adding
the following subsection to Section 13-70 of said Code.
"Sec. ltr~O. Reckless Driving --.Specific Instances.
(k) Drive any motor vehicle, including any motorcycle, so to
come alongside and travel in the same lane with and parallel
to another vehicle in a lane designed for one vehicle; pro-
vided, however, this subsection shall not apply to any
validly authorized parade, motorcade or motorcycle escort."
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the period at the end of Section 13-70
(J) of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be changed to a semi-
colon.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
