RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CITY COUNCIL POLICY
REGARDING THE LEVEL OF CITY SUPPORT TO
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has for a number of years provided financial support
and/or other services supporting non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, the level of support provided to those non-profit organizations varies due
to numerous factors; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set forth such levels of support in order to facilitate
public understanding of the City's policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
that:
1. The City's level of support to non-profit organizations is established according to the
guidelines set forth on Attachment A.
2. The City Manager has authority to approve support that may exceed general guidance
in Attachment A.
3. Non-profit groups must submit requests for City support to coincide with the City's
budget request process.
4. The City Manager shall send information to all non-profit organizations, outlining the
information needed and deadline for submittal of services requested by the City.
